The Library Research Prize is awarded based on a determination of the quality of the research conducted for a project completed as part of an upper-level credit-bearing course at SUNY Plattsburgh. The award will be judged by a panel of SUNY Plattsburgh faculty using criteria that fall under the three categories listed below.
Criteria within each category will be assessed in terms of whether the student has exhibited beginning, competent, or excellent skills in the context of their topic, assignment, and discipline. The panel will review for evidence of the applicant’s research strategy, research process and personal learning, as evidenced in the project and bibliography. Expectations for achievement will be commensurate with the requirements of the academic discipline.
Funding for this prize is provided through the charitable support of the Plattsburgh College Foundation. If you would like to help keep funding for this honor viable, then we invite you to make a gift now.
