You can see all the people with their cameras out taking pictures and videos, staring at the sun as it becomes completely covered by the moon.

The photo was taken around noon on March 1, 2024, next to the Burke Gallery Entrance on the second floor of the Myers Fine Arts Building, Plattsburgh NY, and it was taken with a Canon EOS Rebel T3i Camera. The photo depicts the mini exhibit of the same name with a description of the exhibit on a wall signage, the title and the date of the eclipse imprinted on the wall above it, and one of Rockwell Kent’s artworks and its label template on the right. The description, titled “Celebrating the Path to Totality with Rockwell Kent,” illustrates why SUNY Plattsburgh built the exhibit, which was for the 2024 solar eclipse, and describes the lithographs displayed in the exhibit titled “End of the World” that were made by Rockwell Kent and commissioned for the Hayden Planetarium for the LIFE Magazine on November 1, 1937. The lithographs are themed around the theories of how celestial disturbances may bring the world to an end. The description even has photos of the article that the lithographs were created for, and the texts and labels taken from a section of the article titled “Hayden Museum Shows Four Ways in Which the World May End.”
